About

Amanda Cremona MAEd (SEN)

I am an experienced, qualified SpLD tutor based in Bedford.  I have worked in

Primary Education for many years, and more recently have gained experience supporting older students with their literacy skills.  I am passionate about finding the right way to support children and young people, particularly when they are finding the school environment challenging.

From experience I know personally some of the struggles pupils encounter, and how their learning, behaviour, confidence, and self-esteem can be affected.  Despite receiving support through school, many children still require that bit extra -  teaching that is specifically aimed at their individual needs.  For some it is about filling some 'gaps' in their learning, for others it is ongoing support. Whatever the reason it is usually initially about mindset, dealing with their anxieties, and increasing self-esteem and confidence.

For parents, I provide an empowerment service to discuss the 'niggles' that you feel about your child when you are perhaps feeling confused, or unsupported, by the school system.

It often just takes a small conversation to make a big difference.

Having recently gained my Masters in Education (SEN) I am a highly qualified tutor with a sound overall knowledge of how to support, engage and motivate individuals.   I am fully DBS checked and complete yearly updates with safeguarding training.
